Widespread Power Outage in Seattle Can't Stop Datenite, Manybest, and Tobias the Owl
A crazy storm rolled through western Washington on Monday 13 November 2017. It knocked out power throughout Seattle, but it couldn't stop Datenite, Manybest, and Tobias the Owl from lighting things up at Capitol Hill's Barboza.
It was an important night for Datenite, Manybest, and their fans. Datenite's Anna St. Lee and Manybest's Kaeley Pruitt-Hamm are powering through some medical challenges, and we all know how expensive that can get in today's America. Proceeds from the show went towards helping with those costs. It was cool to see so many of their friends and fans show up. The three bands repaid them several times over with three sets of incredible music.
I've seen the Datenite crew and Tobias the Owl several times now. I'm hooked and plan on seeing them as often as I can before they jump up to the expensive big venues. On Monday Tobias the Owl fans got a nice surprise - Heather Edgley was back on stage with them. It was my first time hearing Manybest band. I was blown away. I think this is a fairly new project for the band members, which is surprising, because they already sound tight, with a distinct sound. I can't wait to see their next show.
Scroll down for some more photos from the night, and if you want to see even more, you should head over to our friend Phillip's site. I suspect he'll be posting some soon. (Just checked. I was right, and they're awesome. I may have to sabotage his cameras.)
