Behind the Scenes: Photo/video shoot with Devin Sinha
Rain City Collective was one of the sponsors for the Seattle Acoustic Festival. The festival was a great celebration of music and community. Two days of talented musicians getting on stage and sharing their creativity and the results of their hard work. It was also a successful event for Rain City Collective. We met a lot of artists, and the event allowed us to showcase what we're aiming for in terms of content creation and a focus on the arts scene.
We've covered a lot of the artists who participated in the festival, so we were able to use our content to promote it. During the festival, we shot photos and videos, quickly put that content online, and provided the artists with images that they can use in the future. Perhaps the most exciting part, though, was meeting artists who were interested in applying that approach to profiles and features. For example, singer songwriter Devin Sinha saw the value in working with us to create a music video, a photoshoot, and a short interview before his album release show at Seattle's Nectar Lounge on 21 September 2017.
We had a great time working with Devin. He's an easy-going and patient singer songwriter who cranks out beautiful songs. We're also grateful to him for taking a shot with us, a relatively unknown and untested group of photographers. We're confident in our approach and concepts, but it's often easier to show someone an example of concepts than it is to explain it to them. Thanks to Devin, we're now able to show other musicians, artists, and authors what we can offer.
In less than two hours, we worked with Devin on a photoshoot and two music videos. We're biased, but we think the finished products were great. I won't lie - Tony and Devin took care of the creative heavy lifting. When I wasn't trying to distract Nova, the tennis ball loving fluff ball of a dog, I grabbed some behind the scenes photos. I think they give a sense for the fun we had and for the amount of work that goes into creating a high quality finished product.
